Mike and Joanne Garnett own and operate Garnett Quarter Horses in Lincoln, Nebraska. Their operation consists of breeding, raising and showing quarter horses. They currently stand AQHA World Champion and NRHA Saddlesmith Champion The Great Kid. Mike and Joanne have enjoyed over 30 years in the horse business and have had an opportunity to show some great horses along the way. Through the years, Mike has acquired a very impressive show record. He was the 2000 and 2003 AQHA World Champion in Amateur Reining and the 2000 NRHA Saddlesmith Non-Pro Champion. He has shown five horses to Superiors in AQHA Reining and has qualified for the AQHA World Championship show ten times placing in the top ten seven of those times. He has also finished in the top ten NRHA standing five times in the Non-Pro division. Joanne has earned multiple AQHA World and Reserve World Championships. Her most recent World title was with So Much Potential in the Amateur Trail.Through her career she has earned fifteen Superiors, one AQHA Champion, and a Superior All-Around Award. She has been in the Top Ten AQHA standings eighteen times. Mike and Joanne have acquired an outstanding bunch of broodmares and are now raising colts to both show and sell. The Great Kid's foals are being shown and winning with NRHA earnings over $160,000. The Great Kid is passing on his talent, ability, disposition and good looks. The Garnett's feel that he is well on his way to becoming one of the top reining-producing stallions in the industry. |
